Free Shipping for purchases over $39.00 applies to U.S.A. customers only, there will be a shipping charge for International orders only.  


Shipping Methods: Continental United States

All orders within the Continental United States are shipped via United Parcel Service ground (UPS), Federal Express (FDX), and the United States Post Office (USPS) with the exceptions noted in the next section below. You can usually expect to receive your Rx order within 5-7 days from the date we receive a prescription from your vet. All other products are shipped 2-7 days from the date of your order depending on the shipping method you choose.

For your convenience, our delivery vendors will deliver your package to your door without requiring a signature - a nice benefit if you live in an apartment building or if you re not usually at home during delivery hours! (In the rare instances where UPS does not deliver without a signature, a note will be left on your door requesting permission to leave your package the next day.) See the Shipping Charges: UPS section below for details about UPS shipping charges.

There is nothing worse than being out of stock or being told that your product has been “back-ordered”. We try very hard to not let this happen, but the sad fact is sometimes it will and for that we are sorry.

If for some reason one of the products you would like to buy is back ordered or out of stock, you can be assured we will be in touch with you immediately. At that time we will try and determine if there is a suitable replacement product that meets your needs.

Return Policy

Prescription Items: By Federal Law, we are not allowed to accept returns of any prescription items which have been ordered by your veterinarian. So PLEASE be extra careful when purchasing these items.

Non-prescription items: On all non-prescription items which for one reason or another do not meet your needs, we guarantee a full refund (minus the initial shipping charge) for all non-prescription merchandise returned to us within 30 days of purchase. Simply contact us by phone toll-free: 1-866-401-PETS or email: CONTACT@THE PETMEDSTORE.COM and let us know the problem you have with the non-prescription merchandise and we will go out of our way to ensure that you enjoy our hassle-free return policy. We will then issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization Number and special instructions for returning the product(s) to us. Your account will be credited upon return of the goods.


To order an Rx product for your pet, we’ll need a copy of the prescription.
After you place your order, have your vet fax the prescription to (310) 356-4945.
